Adversaries

• When Volcano Looming High uses Explosive Eruption vs Tsardom of Russia Level 2+, can they Push 1 Explorer from the origin land (when it does damage by destroying Presence) then destroy that Explorer using the thresholds of the innate that deal damage to nearby lands? Does that Push the Explorer again?
  No, and no. Actions can't destroy Invaders that were saved from destruction earlier in that same action, so the runaway Explorer is safe. And all the damage is part of a single action, so you only Push them (and generate Fear) once.

  The damage from destroying your Presence is part of the same action because the Special Rule says "When you destroy your Presence..." – it modifies how other actions work while they're happening.

Elements and Elemental Thresholds

• Can you use the threshold effects of Innate Powers, even if you can't use the effects above them?
  Yes, each line is evaluated independently, depending on the Elements you activate the power with.

  (You are allowed to pretend you have fewer Elements than you actually have, but need to be consistent for the whole power.)

General Play

• Can a single Action cause a trigger to happen multiple times? Eg, if Heart of the Wildfire's Presence moves to multiple lands in one action, or if The Kingdom of Scotland Level 5+ cascades Blight from one Coastal land to another?
  No. A single action invokes a triggered action exactly once or not at all. If the effects of a trigger are variable, it will say so in the trigger's effects (e.g., "Vengeance of the Dead" deals "1 Damage per (piece) destroyed" rather than a flat amount).

  If Finder of Paths Unseen moves Heart of the Wildfire's Presence to many different lands, "in the land it goes to" is ambiguous and Wildfire's player chooses which land its "Blazing Presence" special rule applies to. If a since Ravage action adds Blight to two Coastal lands (by cascading), "Runoff and Bilgewater" (The Kingdom of Scotland Level 5) adds a single blight is to that board's Ocean; if the two lands were on different boards, "that board's Ocean" is ambiguous and the players choose which it applies to.

  A single action can cause many separate triggers to fire, including separate triggers that come from the same Power Card — e.g., if "Vengeance of the Dead" is Repeated on a land, each use of the power sets up a separate trigger.

Power Cards

• Does "Entwined Power" (you and target Spirit may use each others’ Presence to target Powers) also allow you to count the other Spirit's Presence for the text effects of Powers (e.g., getting 1 Fear and dealing 1 Damage with "Pull Beneath the Hungry Earth")? How about for determining which lands are "your lands" for the purpose of a Power?
  No. Those are effects of Powers; Entwined Power only helps targeting – i.e., meeting the requirements in the "Range" and "Target" boxes.

Spirit Phase

• With Spirits that get to choose multiple Growth options, if more than one option has "Gain Power Card", can I gain a Power Card *then* pick which Growth choice I was using?
  No. You choose a set of things to do, then do them all. If you have multiple Growth choices, you then do this again, and cannot choose one you already picked this turn.

• With Spirits that choose more than 1 Growth option, can I see the results of one choice before picking the next?
  Yes — you can completely finish resolving your first Growth choice before making your second choice.

• Can I wait for the results of another Spirit's Growth before making my own Growth choice? E.g., see if they draw into a Power Card which handles a bad situation before making my own choices?
  Yes.

  The only rules constraints are that each individual Spirit must Grow / Gain Energy / Play Power Cards in that order, and that all Spirits must complete the Spirit Phase before anyone starts resolving Fast Powers. [p. 8] Other than that, players play simultaneously and may confer as they wish, so for instance, one Spirit could plan out their whole turn before another decides which Growth they're taking, or two Spirits gaining Power Cards could base their decisions on what to keep based on each others' draws. How lenient you are about individual Spirits rewinding - eg, going back to choose a different Growth option - is ultimately a playgroup decision, but most people seem to be fine with it so long as you're not rewinding "gain a Power Card".

  In some cases outside of the core game, a Spirit's Growth may even change the board - waiting for this is also fine. (E.g., Keeper of the Forbidden Wilds could push Dahan by making a Sacred Site, changing what lands Thunderspeaker could add Presence to.)

Spirits and Innate Powers

• What counts as "creating a Sacred Site" for the special rule of Keeper of the Forbidden Wilds?
  Any time a land that wasn't Keeper's Sacred Site becomes its Sacred Site, treat it as creating one, regardless of the details.

• Can Fear cards move Dahan to lands where Keeper of the Forbidden Wilds has a Sacred Site?
  Yes. Since it's not forbidden by Keeper's special rule, this is allowed

• What does "-X Cost" mean on a Growth option or Power threshold?
  It means you have to pay that much Energy to pick that Growth option or use that level of your Power. [B&C p. 15, JE p. 11]

  If you don't have the Energy, you can't pick that Growth option. If you don't have or don't want to pay the Energy, skip over that Power level and continue resolving the rest of the Power.
