Adversaries

• Against The Tsardom of Russia Level 2: a damaged Explorer with a Health bonus ends the turn in a way where it won't heal (e.g., in Shroud of Silent Mists' lands). It should be destroyed when the health bonus wears off – is it saved?
  No. Effects wearing off in Time Passes isn't an action, so "A Sense for Impending Disaster" doesn't save the Explorer.

  (This is a provisional answer – if further cases like this suggest that "Effects expire" needs to be an action, it could conceivably change, but that seems the less likely case.)

• When Volcano Looming High uses Explosive Eruption vs Tsardom of Russia Level 2+, can they Push 1 Explorer from the origin land (when it does damage by destroying Presence) then destroy that Explorer using the thresholds of the innate that deal damage to nearby lands? Does that Push the Explorer again?
  No, and no. Actions can't destroy Invaders that were saved from destruction earlier in that same action, so the runaway Explorer is safe. And all the damage is part of a single action, so you only Push them (and generate Fear) once.

  The damage from destroying your Presence is part of the same action because the Special Rule says "When you destroy your Presence..." – it modifies how other actions work while they're happening.

Effect Rules

• Does "you can't destroy the same Invader twice in one action" also apply to Presence destruction?
  Yes — a single action can't destroy the same Presence more than once.

  This can happen with "Flowing and Silent Forms Dart" by in concert with anything that adds Blight one after another in multiple lands, like cascades or Volcano's "Explosive Eruption".

• What exactly does "healing damage" refer to for Unquenchable Flames and Shroud of Silent Mist's *Slow and Silent Death*?
  Damage healing during Time Passes (and any future effects that use the word "heal").
  

  It does not affect damage being cleared when an Invader or Dahan is saved from destruction.

  No, it is one Action per land with Beasts (JE rulebook, "Each" exception sidebar).

Power Cards

• Can "Flowing and Silent Forms Dart By" save Presence from destruction even if that Presence can't be pushed? (e.g., if the only adjacent lands are under "Absolute Stasis")
  No, "Flowing and Silent Forms Dart By" can only save Presence if that Presence can leave the land where it's being destroyed.

  The Dark Fire Aspect, on the other hand, does not check if the Push is possible; it'll save 1 Presence no matter what.

Scenarios

• How does the Transforming Aspect interact with the Dahan Insurrection Scenario?
  The Transform Rather Than Consume Special Rule saves Towns/Cities from destruction and Replaces them instead, so it will not trigger Military Response.

  Constant Raiding is a triggered Scenario Action, so it doesn't interact with Transform Rather Than Consume at all. The Dahan will do Damage normally and potentially trigger Military Response.

Spirits and Innate Powers

• If Vengeance as a Burning Plague's presence is saved from destruction, does it still get to add a Disease?
  No. Both because of the phrasing "...where each Destroyed Presence was", which is meaningless if no Presence is actually destroyed; and because the replacement must be applied before other modifications.

  The phrasing on this is pretty unclear – "...where each Destroyed Presence was" is a check that should happen after Presence might be destroyed, not at the moment Presence might be destroyed. The rule would have been better done either as a triggered action ("After your Presence is destroyed..."), or phrased as "...instead Replace your Presence with a Disease".

• As Volcano, when destroying your own Presence for "Explosive Eruption," can that Presence be saved (by, e.g., "Flowing and Silent Forms Dart By")?
  Yes, but not usefully. It doesn't count towards the eruption threshold requirements / effects (because they check the # of Presence actually destroyed) or for "Collapse In a Blast of Lava and Steam" (because "destroy" gets replaced with "push" before the rule "when your Presence is destroyed, deal damage" kicks in).

  Prior to the ruling that cancellation/replacement always happens before changes/additions, you could decide on the ordering, and apply damage from "Collapse In a Blast of Lava and Steam" before the "Flowing and Silent Forms Dart By" substitution. but this is no longer true.

• Against Tsardom of Russia Level 2+, if Bringer of Dreams and Nightmares uses a Power that would destroy Explorers, can it get the bonus Fear from Russia?
  Yes. Both Russia's Level 2 and To Dream a Thousand Deaths modify what happens when you destroy the Explorers; you get to choose which one to use.

  If not using the Violence Aspect, you could choose to use To Dream a Thousand Deaths if for some reason you didn't want the Fear.

  This interaction is a change from the normal modifier rules specifically for Russia + Bringer. In general, pieces can't be saved from destruction (as Russia Level 2 does) when Bringer would directly destroy or Damage them, since Bringer never directly destroys or Damages anything other than its own Presence.
