  No. Completely resolve the action that gained the Major Power, including Forgetting, before gaining the Minor Power.

  No, even if the Power Card was in hand at the start of the Event, it's in play by the time Memory has to Forget it.

General Play

• Can you Forget one Power Card to pay for multiple Forgetting requirements? (eg, a self-targeted Entwined Power in solo)
  No. Each Major Power gained must be paid for by Forgetting one Power Card, and that card can't be something you're Forgetting for some other benefit (like a different Major Power, or 3 Energy with Shape the Self Anew).

  You can Forget any power card: in your hand, in your discard, or in play. You can even Forget the Major Power you just gained (sidebar, p. 18).

Power Cards

• When using *Unlock the Gates of Deepest Power*, can target Spirit voluntarily choose to Forget when gaining a Major Power?
  Yes, target Spirit is merely given the option not to Forget, not a requirement to take advantage of that benefit. That being said, Forgetting anyway is almost never beneficial.

• If you gain a Major Power by non-standard means or from a place other than the Major Power deck, do you have to Forget a card? How about the "gifting" of Entwined Power's threshold or "taking" a Major Power?
  "Gifting" is a transfer and does not require Forgetting, and "taking" explicitly doesn't require Forgetting. But for any Gain of a Major Power, you must Forget unless the effect specifically exempts you.

  As usual, you may Forget the Major Power you just gained, if you'd prefer that to losing any of your other Power Cards.

• If you Forget a Power Card partway through resolution, do you continue resolving it? (Eg: if you gain a Major Power with Entwined Power, and Forget Entwined Power.)
  Yes. The Power Card is no longer in play, so you no longer gain the benefits of its elements, and you cannot Repeat it, but you do finish the current use.

• Do I need to forget two cards to trigger the conditional on Call on Midnight's Dreams?
  No.

  If you choose Call on Midnight's Dreams as the usual card to forget when you gain the Major Power, then you may follow the conditional and put the card in play.

• Using Unlock the Gates of Deepest Power - if you play the gained Major Power by committing to Forget at end of turn, can you do other things with it? (Like Forget it for a Choice Event / another Major.)
  Yes. Treat it as a triggered action: "At end of turn, Forget the gained Power Card."

• Can you forget Draw Towards a Consuming Void to satisfy the requirements on its own threshold?
  Yes, and you continue resolving the power.

• If a Unique Power Card is transferred to another Spirit and then Forgotten, which Spirit is eligible to get it back via an effect that re-gains Forgotten Unique Powers, like *Tell the Old Stories*?
  Any Spirit that has had that Unique Power Card (whether in hand, in play, or in discard) at some point during play. This may mean that multiple Spirits are eligible to re-gain a particular Unique Power Card.

Scenarios

• When the Mentor Aspect plays in the Destiny Unfolds scenario, do they gain two cards from its Destiny when they gain a Power Card?
  Yes, if there are at least two cards left. In the unlikely case that there's exactly one card left, they just gain that one.

  They are free to mix and match between Majors and Minors, though gaining two Majors at once has the benefit that they need to Forget a Power Card fewer times over the course of the game.

Spirits and Innate Powers

• If you Forget one of your starting Unique Power Cards, is there any way to get it back?
  Not unless explicitly instructed.

• Can Dances Up Earthquakes Forget an impending card when it gains a Major Power? How about to pay for a Choice Event?
  Yes, in both cases — impending cards are still Dances' cards, so they can be forgotten. Discard all Energy on the impending card when you forget it.

  However, Dances can't use them to assist with paying for a Choice Event in any other way. Impending cards are not in play, so they don't contribute Elements for being in play, and they are not in hand, so they cannot be discarded for Elements.

• When Dances Up Earthquakes plays a Major Power via Unlock the Gates of Deepest Power, what happens if you make that Power Card impending?
  If you choose to Forget the Power at end of turn, then nothing useful happens: you make the card impending, then Forget it when the turn ends without ever using it.

  If you choose to pay with Energy, Begin a Dance of Decades lets you pay any amount of Energy – even more than the amount you'd normally have to pay. This may be advantageous if you want reduce the time it will spend impending. The impending card will then come into play on a future turn, like impending cards normally do. It won't automatically gain all elemental thresholds on that future turn, and it won't have an energy discount, since those effects of Unlock the Gates of Deepest Power expire when Time Passes this turn.
