Effect Rules

• When instructed to "Repeat this Power", do you have to obey the range/target land restrictions?
  Only if it doesn't tell you where to Repeat it. If a Repeat specifies where to use it, you obey those instructions, ignoring the original Range and Target restrictions (p. 19). In the rare case that the origin land matters when instructed to Repeat a Power in a specific land, it's the same origin land as the original power use.

  For example, "The Land Thrashes in Furious Pain" could be Repeated on an adjacent land without Blight.

Power Cards

• Does "Entwined Power" (you and target Spirit may use each others’ Presence to target Powers) also allow you to count the other Spirit's Presence for the text effects of Powers (e.g., getting 1 Fear and dealing 1 Damage with "Pull Beneath the Hungry Earth")? How about for determining which lands are "your lands" for the purpose of a Power?
  No. Those are effects of Powers; Entwined Power only helps targeting – i.e., meeting the requirements in the "Range" and "Target" boxes.

• For Forests of Living Obsidian, when do you check whether the origin land is your Sacred Site?
  At the time you reach that instruction in the card text - so, e.g., if you're Thunderspeaker and just moved out all your Presence along with the Dahan, you no longer have a Sacred Site there.

• If you repeat a Power, can you use another Power in between the two uses, or do the two uses have to go right after each other?
  That depends on what's letting you Repeat the Power.

  • If you can Repeat the Power "this turn" (e.g., from "Powestorm" or "Gift of Strength"), then you may use another Power between the two uses of the repeated Power.
  • If the Power repeats itself (e.g., "Creepers Tear into Mortar" or "The Land Thrashes in Furious Pain") or you are granted the option to Repeat a Power "After" using it the first time (e.g., from "Relentless Punishment" or "Strength of the Waking Island"), then resolve the Power and anything else it triggers (e.g., "Vengeance of the Dead") before immediately Repeating it – you don't have a chance to use another Power first.

Spirits and Innate Powers

• How does Relentless Punishment work with Power Cards that Repeat themselves (e.g., "The Land Thrashes in Furious Pain")?
  In order:

  • The initial use of the Power targets a land and resolves (along with any non-Repeat actions it triggers).
  • This triggers both "Relentless Punishment" on that land and the Power's own Repeat instruction. Since the order is ambiguous, you choose which one happens first.
  • After the Power Repeats itself, "Relentless Punishment" triggers again on the second land targeted.

  Because "Relentless Punishment" counts all prior uses of the Power, using that special rule a second time can get quite expensive (Power's Energy Cost + 1 Energy for the first use + 1 Energy per initial "Relentless Punishment" use + 1 Energy for the self-Repeat use)!

  The Locus Aspect works similarly, but instead of the cost increasing each time, each Repeat counts against the number of Repeats that Spirit gets from "Strength of the Waking Island."
