If an Action deals Damage multiple times, can it benefit from Badlands each time?

Only if one time is to Invaders and the other time is to Dahan – a single Badlands token can't increase Damage more than once against a given piece type in a single action. Most of the time, it doesn't matter which instance of Damage is increased by a given Badlands, even if a single action damages Invaders more than once.
Some of the rare cases where it can matter:
  • When using the first two threshold "Leave a Trail of Deathly Silence" in a land with 1 Badlands and 2 Towns, applying the Badlands to the first threshold destroys one of the Towns, allowing the second threshold to abduct the now-lone Town. On the other hand, saving the Badlands for the second threshold means that neither Town is ever alone, leaving the second Town damaged instead of abducted.
  • When using "Walls of Rock and Thorn" with threshold against the Tsardom of Russia Level 2+ in a land that has 1 Badlands, 1 Town, and 3 Explorers, the timing of the Badlands determines if one of the Explorers must be saved from the damage. If the Badlands bonus is applied to the initial 2 Damage, then at least one of the resulting 3 Damage must apply to Explorers, pushing it. On the other hand, if the Badlands bonus is deferred until later, the initial 2 Damage can destroy just the Town, saving all of the Damage to Explorers until after the land is Isolated and there's no way for any of the Explorers to flee.
