Does repeating a Power Card that grants repeats (e.g., "Powerstorm") create an infinite combo?
No, since "Repeat" instructions are ignored when repeating a Power. [Core game p. 19]
Some of these Power Cards can be usefully repeated due to having non-Repeat instructions:
- "Powerstorm" grants target Spirit 3 Energy. Repeating it for free gets the Spirits more Energy, and even repeating it by paying its cost can allow an effective transfer of Energy from the Spirit repeating "Powerstorm" to target Spirit.
- "Gift of Abundance" grants target Spirit gain 2 Energy and lets either Downpour Drenches the World or target Spirit add destroyed Presence back onto the island.
On the other hand, "Gift of Twinned Days" only grants the option to repeat Power Cards, so repeating it does nothing.
