Create menu pick should be disabled if you're not allowed to Create: Currently, if I don't have Create rights within the Space, it lets me go through the motions of Creating a Thing until I try to save it -- and only then fails. It should prevent me from starting in the first place, by disabling the menu pick, giving an error when I load the window, or both.

When I log in, the menubar isn't updated: When not logged in, go into a Space. The Menu is quite limited. Now log in. You have more access to the Space, but the Menu is still limited until you reload.

Disabled menu picks need to be more obvious: Pointed out by Eric, but others have remarked on it as well: the default Bootstrap "disabled" CSS for menu picks is too subtle. It's not at all obvious why nothing happens. Figure out a way to make this clearer.
