Unknown Names

View Source of unknown Thing winds up at Querki homepage: That is: follow an unknown Name, such as a Tag. On the "no Thing exists with that Name" page, View Source. Poof, you're at the Querki homepage.

_showUnknownName should work on Models: Eric tried to apply _showUnknownName on a Model, expecting that all Tags whose Link Model was set to that Model should pick it up. That isn't how _showUnknownName actually works -- it was originally intended to just be Space-wide -- but it is an entirely reasonable expectation, and probably quite useful in complex Spaces that have several different Link Models.

I should be able to reify a Tag from its Display Name: Currently, it is straightforward to create a Thing directly, with a given Name, but there is no way to do so with a Display Name. To make Display Names really hum, we need this.

I should be able to specify a Display Name in QL: Currently, there is no way to use a Display Name in QL. This is inconvenient, especially for use with Tags. It would be damned useful to be able to give an Unknown Name that was actually a Display Name.
