Adding Things

Okay, so now I want to add something new to the Space. I recently picked up Fealty at my local game shop, and would like to put it in the Game Night collection. How do I do that?
I'm currently on the Red 7 page:

That green "Game Night" at the top is a link back to the front page of the Space. (Almost all Querki pages have that link, to make it easy to get back to the top.) I click it, and come back to the front page:

Martin set up this page to have a convenient "Add Another Game" button on the main page:

I click that, and it opens an empty Instance Editor -- just like the one we saw before for editing Red 7, but empty for me to add something new:

I fill all of that in, to describe the new game (breaking out of character for a moment -- yes, I'm burbling, but it really is one of my favorite games):

I click the "Done" button, and poof, I have a new page for the game Fealty:

And if I go back to the "Who owns each game" page, I find it's been added there:

And that's really what Querki is all about: making it really easy to add and edit information, and have everything automatically update, so that it all stays consistent and correct.
In our Game Night example, we've assumed that Martin set the Space up to have a nice convenient button to Add Another Game from the front page. That's great, but it isn't always available. What do you do when the Space doesn't have that? There are several options available.

Create any Thing from the menu

First, you can always create Things from the "Create any Thing" item on the Actions menu, at the top of the page:
3y2848u/a28962aea7a922a91f3234133649565923336835.png
When you pick that off the menu, you get shown the Create any Thing dialog:

Choose the Model you want (in our case, Game), and you get that Instance Editor to fill in, same as above:

Create Another button

Also, take a look at the Red 7 page again:
3y2848u/dc0e39919cd437d5a0167f7b6fcc36d2543a6c22.png
See that ... button at the top? That's the "Create Another" button, which creates another Instance of the same Model as this one. So since Red 7 is a Game, pressing that button creates a new Game, and shows you an empty Instance Editor.

From the Model's page

Look at the Red 7 page again. Remember that Model link in the subtitle? If you click on that, you go to the page for the Game Model itself:

There's a lot there, but that button is the important part now: press that, and it will create a new Game -- again, showing you an empty Instance Editor.

From All Things

Finally, on the Actions menu, there's also the Show All Things menu pick:
3y2848u/85a18588eb6377104b07c64882c830c816b84713.png
If you choose that, you go to the All Things page, which shows everything in this Space:
3y2848u/c76af0e2b7226b2930bd8800f646951613fd7667.png
You can always get to All Things from that menu pick. In new Spaces, that haven't been customized at all, the All Things display is what you see as the front page of the Space.
This shows all of the Models (in boldface), and the Instances of each Model under them -- it's a quick and easy way to get to any Thing you need. And notice how there is a button next to each Model? Click that and, you guessed it -- it opens up a new Instance Editor for that Model.
All of these are simply different ways to do the same thing -- adding more information to your Space. We provide a lot of different ways to get there, because it's one of the most common things to do in Querki.
