Smothered pork chops with apple cider

Shopping List

  • 2-4 boneless pork chops, about 1 inch thick (not "thick cut", which is too thick)
  • 1 onion
  • 3/4 cup apple cider

Staples Used

  • bacon
  • bay leaves
  • thyme
  • Dijon mustard
  • cider vinegar
  • 3/4 cup chicken stock

Notes

Important: Replace half the cider with chicken stock. Original was good, but a bit strongly flavored of apple.
Use a conventional skillet, not nonstick.
Uses: Stove
Goes With: Roasted veggies
