Shopping List

  • Rolled Oats
  • Chia Seeds
  • Milk or preferred substitute (I like cashew milk)
  • Low/No-fat Greek yogurt
  • Sweetened Pecans (eg, Q's Nuts)
  • Berries (I prefer blueberres)

Staples Used

  • Grape Nuts
  • Maple syrup (or honey)

Recipe

Everyone does this differently, but this is the recipe I've evolved:
The day before, combine:
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 tsp Chia seeds
  • About 5 oz milk (just a little more than 1/2 cup)
  • 1 Tbl yogurt
  • 1-2 tsp maple syrup
Stir together in a Ball jar or suchlike, and refrigerate.
Each morning (this makes 3-4 days' worth):
  • Take 1/3 of the oats in a small bowl.
  • Add about 1 Tbl Grape Nuts, to soak up any extra liquid and give it a bit of crunch.
  • Break 4 pecans into quarters (or so) and add.
  • Add a handful of berries.
Low-effort, quick each morning, and very tasty!
