AKA

A very late-period game played on an enormous 33 x 50 board. Far as I can tell, the first modern-ish war game.

The game is played using pieces of various sizes determined by mathematics. Players are essentially playing two cities laying siege to each other.

While the original source was published in England, it is written in Latin.
