The Pennsic Land Lottery Debate
To the tune of Poisoning Pigeons in the Park
Spring is here, spring is here --
Life is tourneys, and lots of beer;
I think the loveliest time of the year is the spring
(I do; don't you? Course you do!)
But there's one thing that makes spring a mess for me,
And makes every morning distress for me:
All the world seems in flames when we're playing these games,
In the Pennsic Land Lottery Debate!
Every morning you'll hear as the flamage draws near,
In the Pennsic Land Lottery Debate!
(When they hear it coming, the readers all stay away;
But they still come a writing when they want to have their say!)
The Rialto's too loud, and the lurkers are cowed,
by the Pennsic Land Lottery Debate!
(La la, dum da da da da doo dee dee dum de doo...)
We've caused much perturbance with this annual disturbance,
In this argument 'bout urban development!
They call it quite silly, in the way that we dilly
And dally and really seem to moan and lament!
But Corpora says nothing about a chat
In which we lambaste the poor autocrat...
So if battle you crave, why don't you come and rave,
In the Pennsic Land Lottery Debate!
And maybe we'll gripe 'bout Estrella tonight,
In the Pennsic Land Lottery Debate!
We'll bitch and we'll moan until Pennsic Week rolls around --
And then we'll start beating Crown Tourney into the ground!
But then, come next year, we'll again bend your ear
In the Pennsic Land Lottery
(So full of pot-shottery!)
In the Pennsic Land Lottery Debate!
