To the tune of Red is for Purity by Heather Rose Jones
Oh we are the SCA belt police squad
We know that we sit at the right hand of God
With skills legendary in things sumptuary
Correctly attired and shod

For we know....
Red is for squires and white for a knight
And if you're a protege' green is alright
And gold mixed with coral means you and your Laurel
Have recently been in a fight
You'd best not wear things on your head made of wire
Unless you're a Lord or you'll soon face our ire
And pearls are for counties who used to be Mounties
But only from Eldomere shires!

Repeat Chorus
No danglies on ribbons out here in the West
We'll think you're a show-off unless you're a guest
But south of Calontir they won't call you a peer
If its not shown on your chest

Repeat Chorus
A blue feather says that you're gay don't you see
When tied in a knot means you read A.S.B.
While "six feathers broken, Or" means that you're spoken for
But by next week should be free.

Repeat Chorus
These rules are important for without them how
Would we know who to sneer at or when to kow tow
You'll obey them because even though they're not laws
If you don't the we'll all have a cow!

Repeat Chorus
