Skillet Green Beans

Slice the onion thinly. Mince the garlic.
- Combine green beans, EVOO, water, salt, pepper in 12” nonstick skillet. Cover & cook over medium high heat until beans are nearly tender (~8 mins) shaking skillet occasionally
- Stir beans and continue to cook uncovered until water evaporated and beans beginning to brown in spots (~5 mins)
- Add onion and cook until onion is just softened (2-4mins), stirring often. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant (~1 min) and remove from heat.
- Stir in lemon juice, serve, and sprinkle with cheese.

Variations
Bacon, black bean garlic sauce and tahini variation
Reduce salt to ¼ tsp and complete steps 1 & 2
In step 4, add 2 Tbs black bean garlic sauce and 2 Tbs water to lemon juice
After serving, drizzle with 1 Tbs tahini, and substitute ¼ cup crumbled cooked bacon and 2 tsp toasted sesame seed for cheese.
