Rules: Pairs and straights must be a single color, trips (and thus boats) are illegal. (Because it is impossible to make trips in a single color.) High hand splits with the high diamond in the hole.

Analysis: Stretches the metaphor a little, and there tends to be a fair amount of confusion about the trips rules. But a pretty good game, which we play moderately often.
