As some of you are aware, my daughter Ainsley has learned a great deal from all the time she has spent around the office over the years. She has prevailed on me to spread the wealth, as it were, by encouraging other girls her age (or at least, high schoolers) to come see how things work here in the real world.
So -- two weeks from today, I am declaring "Take Your Daughter to Work Day". All employees with high-school age daughters should bring them to the office for the day, if possible and appropriate. Obviously, use common sense when it comes to exposing them to confidential or classified information, but insofar as you can show them what you do for a living, and help spread the excitement among the Decameron family!
