Senator
The state's four-term senior Senator. An old hand in Washington, who thought his seat was secure, and hadn't been campaigning hard until a few months ago, when
State Rep mounted a challenge. He's been staying ahead in the polls, but is finding the going increasingly treacherous, and this isn't helping any.
He is a Republican, but an old-fashioned middle-of-the-road one. He's worked on gun control legislation before, and is not in any way an extremist. But he is too wily, and too familiar with modern politics, to be casually outflanked from the right.
He is also aware that
Mayor is gunning for his seat. He doesn't want that to happen, either, but it makes his situation tricky, with an extremist on the right and a gun-control Democrat on the left.
He will be doing a press conference an hour or so into game time.
He is old friends with
CEO, and may need to leverage that.
