When you first joined Decameron, it seemed like a great place -- an engineering firm where you could put your lifelong passion for rocketry to good use. Sure, they had some defense contracts even then, but you could tell yourself that this was basically a model-rockets company that had grown up, and taking some money from the government paid everybody's bills.
