The board member appointed by Decameron's venture investor. Since Decameron has been growing rapidly in recent years, it wound up going the VC route in order to raise several million dollars. Sie is mainly interested in protecting the VC's investment: making sure that the company survives, or at least that its patents are solid and not ruined by the politics of all this.
Sie is a bit of a professional fixer, and well-tied into the local political establishment. Sie mostly wants things to get brushed under the rug, and wants simple answers that don't make the company look bad. However, sie is also entirely prepared to cut bait and recall the investment if the company looks fatally ruined.
