Bookkeeper
A longstanding employee at Decameron, who has always managed the day-to-day finances. Highly trusted by Roger, although not theoretically very senior in the hierarchy. Might also be the Office Manager, but that's not entirely obvious.
Sie is one of the few people aware of the fact that the company is in a bit of a cashflow crunch right now. Nothing dreadfully serious -- there is enough operating capital for 3 months, maybe 5 if they cut to the bone -- but enough to be worrying. The problem with government contracts is they way their cashflow is often "lumpy". In this case, the contract for Sureshot is due for a major milestone revue next week. Assuming that comes off well, a major new tranche of money is supposed to arrive, to begin production, and that would make the company pretty wealthy. But in the meantime, things are tight.
Sie has been cooking the books for many years, although that started somewhat innocently -- see the sad story in Insidious for inspiration. Sie originally just needed a few hundred to get by for a couple of months, so quietly embezzled it and then paid it back. But over the years, seeing how easy it was, sie got more resentful of these young engineers who were much better-paid, and started to embezzle more carefully and consistently. By using a modest number of fake invoices, and the fact that nobody was really watching, sie has pulled out a couple hundred thousand dollars over the past few years. The problem is, sie's gotten a tad careless, and is conscious of the fact that the books won't stand up to a serious audit. As the game begins, sie's just realizing that if the Sureshot contract fails, it's almost certainly going to force an audit -- and sie might go to jail if that happens.
