When I log in after joining a Space through a Shared Link, it isn't my list of Spaces You Are a Member Of

Summary: The issue is presumably something having to do with the SpaceMembership table. Since the open-invite Identity isn't real, it isn't in this table.
Look at this carefully, and think about the implications for SpaceMembership. This table deserves a revamp anyway.
