Uploading photos from Kate's Mac is failing

Summary: She tried to upload several photos; they are now consistently failing.

The error that I find in Splunk is Invalid icc profile: duplicate sequence numbers. Googling that, it suggests that this is not an unusual error -- older JDK libraries would throw it spuriously, but it should be fixed in JDK8.

This theory is blown all to hell, though, because I can upload the same photo, if I do so from my desktop. The photo is the current image of Christmas Elegance, which I have in my Pictures folder. Doing exactly the same upload process from my machine works fine. Which suggests that the problem is something in upload from the Mac.

Try uploading the same picture from the Mac and my desktop into my dev system, and see if I can repro the problem that way.
