Submitting a comment to an unloaded Space sometimes fails?

Summary: This needs further testing, and maybe a recipe, but sometimes, if I leave a page open for a long time (presumably long enough for the Space and UserSession to time out), then go to that page and add a comment, I get a cryptic error message.
Note that the error message shows as a browser popup error, containing a full page. So the error itself is displayed erroneously; that's probably a broken path, where the API call isn't getting an error specialized for the API. But the main problem is that we should be able to submit a comment as the first action in a Space and a UserSession.
