Names are still getting blanked out

Summary: Something is, fairly often, causing the Name field of a Thing I edit to be erased.

Your recently-added check brings up an error message when I try to click Done in such a state, but it's still incorrect and unnerving behavior.

I haven't got solid repro steps yet,but will keep an eye out.
