Link lookup doesn't respect Computed Names

Summary: Found in the Comics Space, and not really surprising: Marco Polo link sets works with Name or Display Name, but not Computed Name.
How expensive is this going to be to compute? Do we need some sort of caching, to make it non-sucktastic? Can it be cached?
Closely related: the Link Set displays the OID rather than the Computed Name.
