Summary: This still needs design, but a number of folks have pointed out that having distinct identities is lovely, but I need to be able to define that, for instance, notifications about one's kinky private life shouldn't come up on my screen when I'm at work.
The implication is probably that I can group my Identities into Profiles, and define how I receive which Profiles. That may include both pull (when I'm at work, only my work Identities should show up) and push (work notifications don't bother me on my phone).
