Having a dot at the front of a Display Name is potentially ambiguous

(Incomplete Feature, To be Fixed , Priority: Medium, Test Status: No automated tests yet , Reported By Justin du Coeur, )
Summary: If Display Names can start with period, that means that you could have a Display Name like ".d2j45", which is indistinguishable from an OID. So we probably need to disallow starting Display Names with a period.

Needing display names that start with a single period seems unlikely, but plausible (perhaps if talking about programming languages), though I don't know if it's a good idea. If it is, perhaps shift OIDs to start with two periods, or two colons, or some other thing that would be less plausible? --Eric [PS: Not sure how to add commentary other than editing this Discussion field.]
